Concert to feature North Carolina Symphony and Legends of Beach
Raleigh – Capital Bank is the proud sponsor of Pops in the Park presented by WRAL-TV featuring the North Carolina Symphony and Legends of Beach, a group including five of the original six members of The Embers. The free concert takes place this Sunday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park.
Legends of Beach will be playing the beach music classics they were known for in the '80's and '90's as The Embers, as well as some brand new original beach music songs. Lead singer, Jackie Gore is the writer and original lead voice on the beach music classic, "I Love Beach Music.”
Music lovers are invited to join Capital Bank prior to the concert at the Capital Bank tent just outside the amphitheatre to play “Name that Beach Music Tune.” Concert-goers will have the chance to win great prizes including concert t-shirts and beach towels if they successfully name a selected beach music song.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnics. Food will also be available at the amphitheatre.
WRAL-TV will broadcast Pops in the Park on Monday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m.
